Indicated Population

Indicated for patients with chronic hepatitis B who are 6 years of age and older and weigh at least 25 kg.

Dosage and Administration

Use in Specific Populations

Dosage adjustment is required in patients with renal impairment; it is not recommended for patients with end-stage renal disease not receiving hemodialysis or for patients with decompensated liver disease.

Overdosage

Supportive treatment should be instituted in case of overdose; tenofovir can be effectively removed by hemodialysis.
